A 5-min 3D found-footage horror mockumentary about a journalist visiting rural Anatolia in 1890.
The concept of found footage helps to eliminate disbelief in the film and creates a more reliable impact for the setup of the rural Anatolia depicted in the late 1800s. Under the influence of historical 3D realism as a form, Anatolia 1890 becomes something the audience might not wish to witness.
While I was pitching Anatolia, 1890 in Limburg Film Pitch which was held during the Shift Film Festival in September 2022 in Heerlen, Netherlands.

In the creation of its graphical journey, color and basic design elements are used as guiding elements.

In the Woods* is an animated mockumentary sitcom about little monsters with a camera.
*a series of daily footage and recordings shot by little monsters. We watch their everyday life as they record themselves casually and sometimes have marvelous adventures!
Join Max and Poony as they make a video journal while exploring the woods, having strange and wonderful adventures along the way!
The pauses of marvelous introductions, interruptions in camera zooms, unintentional recordings of silly dialogues, repeated shots of the same silly things over and over again, breaking of the characters in “well-prepared” scenes… The jokes you’ll find in In the Woods will be naturally built in front of the camera. For the sake of content, the monsters will capture random and sloppy-yet beautiful entertainment.
As it was created by Ilgin Sacan and Emir Erol, the visual concepts and 3D imagery were created by Ilgin Sacan and supervised by Ajlan Altug.
